This initiative, in partnership with the Alliance for Pediatric Device Innovation (APDI), a nonprofit consortium led by Children’s National Hospital and funded through the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), addresses the urgent need for devices specifically designed for children with heart conditions. With approximately 40,000 children born each year with congenital heart defects, our goal is to support innovations that enhance care and improve outcomes. “We are excited to work with these talented innovators to bring much-needed solutions to pediatric care,” said Kirstie Keller, CEO of Additional Ventures. The competition was a highlight of the 12th Annual Symposium on Pediatric Device Innovation, fostering collaboration and advancement in pediatric healthcare.
