New Opportunity for Postdoctoral and Early Career Single Ventricle Researchers
October 25, 2024
Our Single Ventricle Research Fund (SVRF), which is currently open for applications, now includes a Career Development track for postdoctoral researchers in mentored, non-independent research positions. This Career Development track will replace our Catalyst to Independence Award, allowing awardees to receive versatile funding over three years, access to professional development training, and join our growing community of early-career researchers. This award allows significantly more flexibility for awardees in both timeline to independence and budget allowances.
We receive impressive scientific proposals from impactful early-career scientists, and the decision to sunset the Catalyst Award in no way reflects on the rigor or merit of past applicants or active awardees. We are proud of our Catalyst Awardees and are excited for the new class of SVRF Career Development Awardees to join their community.
The 2025 SVRF is hosting an open call for single ventricle-focused research proposals, and we encourage all interested postdoctoral fellows (and equivalent) and early career investigators to review the full RFP and submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) by November 21, 8pm EST.
We look forward to welcoming a new group of single ventricle postdoctoral researchers through the SVRF Career Development track and expanding our vibrant community of next-generation leaders in single ventricle research. The future of single ventricle science is bright!
